Capcom has detailed the first wave of downloadable content planned for Street Fighter IV. It has also let fly an onslaught of screens to illustrate it, which SPOnG has gathered up and contained for your optical pleasure.

Costing absolutely none of your pennies will be the Championship Mode expansion pack, which will bring a handful of new features to the game. These include a replay mode, two new points systems and improved online tournament matchmaking for players who don't have crazy-scary skills. You can see the full skinny from Capcom at the bottom.

No firm date beyond 'post launch' had been put to the pack at the time of publishing. Now, call us cynical, but when free DLC is announced before a game's even released, we at SPOnG see 'stuff that should have been included in the boxed game but the devs (or more likely the marketing people) didn't have time for'. But, like we said, you can just call us miserable, cynical bastards if you want.

Also set for post-launch release (but this time requiring some of your pennies) is a batch of costume packs. They will be thematically grouped and released on a weekly schedule. The packs will each set you back 320 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360 or £2.72/€3.84 on PS3. You can find full details below, as well as some of the screens Capcom released. If you want to see more, head over to SPOnG's dedicated game page.

SFIV is set for release on February 20th.

Without further ado, here's the full skinny from Capcom.

- Replay Mode – Record, upload, and download top matches to share with the Street Fighter IV community. Players can analyze top tiered fighters matches, leave voter feedback for others, and share their own triumphant victories.

Not good to charge that much money for skin packs but its DLC and it sells beit that people complain they will still buy it but not me but unless the default original colours for Ryu i.e. white outfit and red headband are not in the game but chargeable that will be totally unfair.

I am getting the collectors edition and that has DLC as a bonus in that pack it could very well be the costumes but I dont know unless anyone else does?

I take it the extra features pack is free?
