More Xbox 360 DLC shenanigans

Microsoft: Delete Xbox Midnight Club DLC
Xbox 360-based DownLoadable Content (DLC) is the contentious subject of the day today. First, Crystal Dynamics' Eric Lindstrom has apparently stated that the 360-exclusive DLC for Tomb Raider Underworld was - in part - cut from the original game (more on that in a later story, we are a giving Eidos a moment for its response). Now Microsoft is asking users to delete Midnight Club DLC.

A posting on Graeme Boyd's (aka Aceybongo) blog sends out the message. Who is Graeme? Why he's the Community Manager, Xbox EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Asia). Here's what he has to say:

"Midnight Club 3: LA Marketplace Content - Don't Download It Or Delete it If You Have!

"The Marketplace team has mentioned to me that a batch of Midnight Club: LA content went up accidentally on Xbox LIVE Marketplace this morning. It has since been removed, but you may have had the chance to download it while it was up there.

"If you did and if it's sitting on your hard drive you should delete it - reason being that it was being tested when it was mistakenly put live and therefore it may not work properly, the Achievements won't register and could cause you problems with your Midnight Club: LA game saves.

Sorry for the mistake and sorry for the hassle, but if you did download the content best thing to do is delete it. I'll let you know when it's up for real!"

Let's hope the same sort of hassle doesn't occur when the next Rockstar game's DLC appears for Xbox 360. Anybody remember GTA IV? It's apparently due soon...

Thats total BS, they are scaring folk that got the content, once it passes Microsofts quality control (if they have one it sure doesn't do its f**king job!) then they can upload it to Live. Only completed fully working content can be uploaded as in this case its been passed onto Microsoft from the developers so I cannot see how the DLC is not complete.

you see you mist out the fact that it goes from the developer to microsfot were it is put on live for the beta people to play see if there is anything not right on it then it is opened to all the have live just because microsoft have got the dlc dose not mean that there is nothing wrong with it

( BUT HAY YOU CAN NOT BE WRONG YOUR NEVER WRONG AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH YOUR 360)
