TV Channel for Wii Coming
Christmas Day not only saw several million more Nintendo Wiis plugged in to household TVs, it also saw an announcement or two from Ninty itself. Top of the list is the television channel called something along the lines of "Wii Between Us Channel" or "Wii no Ma".

When we say, 'Television' channel, of course we mean 'video distribution channel'. Yes, video to Wii after all. The deal has been set up with Japanese ad agency Dentsu, which is already on the hunt for new content providers.

Initially the channel will only be available in Japan. However, it will be free when it begins in Spring of 2009. The usual translation fun informs us that, "the deployment of overseas is also considering the time is yet to be determined". So, Nintendo is looking abroad for further roll out.

While no content has been officially announced, Japan's business journal, The Nikkei is quoted by The Hollywood Reporter stating, "...cartoons and other entertainment content will be distributed. "

same the Image quality of the BBC Iplayer service is so piss poor on the Wii.

looks acceptable via PC not far off normal but with slight drop in frame rate.

Wonder if ps3 supports it... must go play with buttons tonight.

Just a quick note to answer your question, yes the PS3 web browser displays iPlayer properly. Just go to the normal URL http://bbc.co.uk/iplayer and bookmark the page you're taken to.
