With Woolworths set to shut up shop in January - with the cost of 27,000 jobs in the worst case - things are looking bleak for UK retail.
Step up Best Buy. According to
MCV, "US retail superpower Best Buy has confirmed to MCV that it is looking to recruit far and wide as the firm builds its business in the UK and Europe."
The company has already teamed up with Carphone Warehouse in the UK and will be using Carphone's London office to kick of its UK operation in January. Along with the new recruitment drive, it's understood that three "prominent members of the UK trade" have already been recruited.
