Sega of Japan has announced that it currently has ten GameCube titles in development at offices in Europe, Japan and the States.

Of the ten games, three were confirmed. These were Phantasy Star Online Version 2, Virtua Striker 3 Version 2002 and Super Monkey Ball.

Phantasy Star Version 2 has long been rumoured on the GameCube and looks set to take on the online promises made by Nintendo regarding the machine.

Virtua Striker 3 Version 2002 is an update of the Naomi 2 arcade machine and will be a GameCube exclusive. The play engine was critically acclaimed at a recent press event in Tokyo and is hotly anticipated by GameCube fans.

Monkey Ball is a crazy action puzzle game that involves controlling two monkeys trapped in rubber balls.

All games will be released in the first year of the GameCube’s launch.
