PlayStation 3's Japanese Sales Leap Outsells Wii?

The PlayStation 3 has apparently had a huge sales boost in its home country due to solid sales of Grand Theft Auto IV, LittleBigPlanet and 80Gb bundles for the week October 27th to November 2nd. So big have these boosts been that - apparently - PS3 has even outsold Nintendo's Wii.

We're rubbing our eyes in a little disbelief - bearing in mind that these are early reports. Here - with thanks to ChartGet - are the hardware figures according to early returns according to Famitsu... we're just reporting this (previous week in brackets).

In terms of software - both Enterbrain/Famitsu and Media Create have reported for the period it would seem. Both seem to match Top 10s. Both show GTA IV violence outdoing Sackboy cute in terms of sales. While the former does indeed sell on Xbox 360, it's the PS3 where most impact occurs.
