The anticipated (we're not saying 'highly' yet) Street-running (or Parkouring) video game from EA and DICE,
Mirror's Edge is up on the PlayStation Network in demo form today.
The developers say that this is a "Special Demo". We're sure this doesn't mean that all the others demos were just plain dull and normal, so that means there's got to be something extra-great about this one - which, by the way, appears on Xbox Live tomorrow.
So, what is special? The demo contains:
* Prologue of the game.
* A tutorial.
* A 'segment' of single-player story mode.
Now the 'special' bit. We're told that if you pre-order the game, you will also be able to unlock a time trial mode, which is apparently addictive. Also unlockable will be ability to send your times to the
ME website. Well, at least you're getting more than a kick in the teeth for your pre-order money.
