No Mascot was Sony Official Policy

That's psychologically telling

No Mascot was Sony Official Policy
An unnamed spokesperson for Sony has told The Times that LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy (or girl, but certainly not singer of heretical songs) is its very first gaming mascot.

The reason for this? Well, "We’ve never really had an icon before. That was a deliberate policy of the early days because we did not want to be pigeonholed." Unlike, say, MGM with its lion; McDonalds with its clown; Nintendo with its plumber? Pigeonholed as what? Surely there is more to this?

Apparently there is, "It’s psychologically telling that this, arguably our first mascot, is fully customisable. You can make him anything you want him to be."

We reckon that Spyro is now sulking its little head off. As for the psychological significance of Sackchap being fully customisable, we're inclined to the use of the word, "babbling nonsense". Frankly, the Sacklad is simply a very, very, simple and playable character.
