Namco Bandai has officially announced the console version of
Tekken 6, revealing that it will break with the series' long tradition of PlayStation exclusivity to make an appearance on the Xbox 360.
The game got a mention during Microsoft's keynote by John Schappert (corporate VP of LIVE, software and services for Xbox) and has now had a full announcement from the publisher itself.
The title, which has already turned up in arcades, is slated for an Autumn 2009 release.
It's the latest in an ever-growing list of franchises that were once associated with Sony's PlayStation brand but will now also appear on the 360. As well as the likes of
Grand Theft Auto heading over for simultaneous launch on Microsoft's machine we've more recently seen
Final Fantasy XIII confirmed for the 360.
