Ubisoft has sent word that
SoulCalibur IV, which it distributes on behalf of Namco Bandai in Europe, has shipped two million units since it launched a week ago.
The game successfully
topped the UK Charts. That doesn't sound like too impressive an accomplishment considering we're in the middle of the summer games drought, but when you take into account the fact that it beat the mighty
Wii Fit, which itself saw a 35% sales rises, that's no mean feat.
In case you've had your head in the sand for the last six months or so,
SCIV is a traditional beat-'em'up with big stonking blades and plenty of hot (if scary as all hell) chicks in it. This time around Darth Vader, his secret apprentice (from the upcoming
Force Unleashed) and Yoda all made appearances. You can find out more on SPOnG's
dedicated game page.
