Take Two's E3 press conference didn't dish up much by way of news, but it did give the mysterious Borderlands - published by its 2K label and developed by Gearbox - a good airing. SPOnG has a new video and some fresh screens to give you a taste.
SPOnG, for its part, is intrigued. 2K touts the game as a mix of first-person action and vehicular combat, putting a big dollop of emphasis on the game's customisation options. Co-op's all the rage these days and that hasn't passed 2K by. The publisher tells us Borderlands is "built from the ground-up to be an exciting and intuitive co-operative multiplayer experience that rewards players for executing advanced strategies and tactical maneuvers".
Then, of course, there's the "hundreds of thousands of weapons" to choose from. Just a few thousand would have done us. There are only so many enemies to shoot, but there you go.
