UK-based publisher Eidos Interactive has announced the development of Deus Ex for Sony’s PlayStation 2.
The innovative first-person shooter, developed by Ion Storm, was originally released on PC and was one of 2000’s top games. The game featured a high level of technical sophistication and successfully combined action with elements of the role-playing genre. Ion Storm is working on enhancing the current version to suit the capabilities of the PlayStation 2. These enhancements will include improved visuals and a number of fine gameplay tweaks.
It is unknown as yet if Deus Ex will be compatible with a USB mouse and keyboard, but the game is expected to be on show at E3 in Los Angeles. We’ll bring more news on Deus Ex as we get it.
