No truth at all

Rare: There is NO Banjo-Kazooie Motion Control
Remember yesterday when everybody and their aunt was absolutely stating that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts would use a new Xbox 360 motion controller?

Sure you do. If not, you can read about it here.

Anyway, as we thought, it's all rubbish. Rare's community manager, George Kellion, popped us over the following message:

"There's no truth to the Banjo motion control rumour. Banjo has been designed to be played using a gamepad from the outset.

"People shouldn't take rumours that gestate in comments sections so seriously. They can often turn out to be red herrings, as is the case with Banjo and motion controls."

We also pointed out in yesterday's story that "We actually think he (Microsoft's George Lobb) meant that you twist one of the standard controller's analog sticks. The rest of the Interweb appears to think that he meant one would twist the entire controller."

Rare has also told Joystiq, "Ken's comment is in reference to rotating the left analog stick while hitting the X-button to move different things in the game."

So, there you go then.

OK Well,

I will take that as Banjo doesnt use motion sensing, which doesnt mean there isnt a motion device, but you cant blame the worldareainterwebinet for getting it wrong (although spongites are on the ball) as myself and quite possibly anyone who ever has used a 360 controller would never use the word twist in relation to moving the Astick, move, rotate, turn and even click... twist no.

but the wording that Banjo has been designed to work with the Pad from the outset doenst mean it wouldnt be compatable with a motion device does it?

not the first time a secret has been told "no truth init" after all MS has told us,

"there is no elite"
"there is no price cut"
"theres nothing worng with the 360 design" - ;-)
