Next title featuring the culinary matriarch detailed

Majesco has served up details on the next title in the Cooking Mama series, dubbed World Kitchen. Not one to neglect presentation, it has also sprinkled some screens over the internet.

Says Jesse Sutton, CEO of Majesco,"Mama's newest iteration, Cooking Mama World Kitchen, builds on this success with a host of feature enhancements that improve the cooking experience and deliver more of the unique personality that has made Mama such an endearing video game character."

"Cooking experience?" Eh? Quick word of advice here to the real world, you don't actually cook with this game. Seriously, if you are expecting to be able to feed yourself on the pixelly goodness, you'll starve. You have been warned.

What features? Well, this will be the series' first appearance in 3D, for one. Intriguingly, Majesco says the new game will feature rhythm game mechanics mixed in with "traditional Wii remote utensil play". We bet you hadn't realised that the Wii actually had any traditions yet.

World Kitchen will also feature mini games as you make your way about the kitchen. Basically, if you cock up you'll be able to correct your mistake. For example, if you flip a burger too high (d'oh!) you control Mama as she dashes in to catch it in her apron.

SPOnG's assuming from the title that the game will feature dishes from around the world, although Majesco has neglected to say anything on the subject.

Majesco will publish the game in the US, saying it will be out "this holiday". 505 Gamestreet has published previous iterations in the series in the UK.

You can tuck into the first screens below and munch on more over on SPOnG's dedicated game page.
