Posting to the USA's PlayStation blog, Surrey (in England)-based Criterion games has provided more details for the Cagney update to SPOnG favourite,
Burnout Paradise.
As expected there is much online addition but lurking there at the bottom of the list is mention of 'custom soundtracks'. This has lead to much vibration on the Interweb about how this means that the PS3's forthcoming 2.4 update will contain XMB in-game music... and that means that.
Delving further into Criterion's own site, we see that:
"Custom soundtrack support for PS3 (MP3, AAC, ATRAC formats supported, WMA *not* supported)".
Blimey! This definitely means something about the XMB for 2.40, right? What more must we know?! Well, with some really difficult sleuthing we looked at the date for that
particular posting and we saw... April 16th 2008.
So, why no big wow back in April?
Cagney is free and will be available on July 10th via automatic download to PS3 and Xbox 360.
