Activision has said that it will unveil
Call of Duty: World at War this weekend - and remember, if you call it
Call of Duty 5 you will be shot as we don't 'do' numbers any more.
The big reveal will come via Xbox Live Marketplace in video form. The video will be available from June 21st - June 22nd, or Saturday and Sunday, if you prefer.
Details about the game are still thin on the ground, but the blurb text from Activision currently stands at, "
Call of Duty: World at War redefines WWII, challenging players to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles of the Pacific and European theatres.”
Back to World War II. SPOnG can't help but wonder whether the decision to go back to World War II is linked to the fact that
Treyarch is developing the game. Perhaps the 'modern warfare' aspect of
CoD4 will be left to
CoD6, which will hopefully be developed by Infinity Ward? Give us your thoughts in the Forum.
Yesterday, SPOnG brought you pack shots that may or may not belong with
Call of Duty: World at War. You can see them
here.
