No First Party Nintendo US Games in June

Time for the third-parties to party

No First Party Nintendo US Games in June
Apparently Nintendo of America is not going to release any new software for the DS or Wii in the month of June. Maybe this is in answer to complaints that third-party developers are not making enough out of the two platforms. Maybe this is simply because NOA forgot? Maybe it's a scheduling anomaly? Or maybe it's simply that Nintendo doesn't put out a game a month... every month.

According to thewire, and NOA spokesperson said, "Nintendo does not, in fact, have any first-party games releasing in June. We continue to enjoy strong third-party support for both Wii and Nintendo DS. In June alone, titles such as "Guitar Hero" for the DS and "Lego Indiana Jones," "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" are all scheduled to come out for Wii".

You can almost hear all the first-party games teams breathing in and relaxing, eh readers? No of course you can't, that would be daft.

Of course, in Europe we have Super Smash Bros. Brawl coming in June... no rest for the wicked.

Perhaps Nintendo will take the opportunity to release a few missing gems onto the Virtual Console?

Not that it would effect me living in blighty but hey, gotta look for the positives.

I'm really really REALLY excited about the impending brawl though!

OK im going to say somethign that i know ill get hell for but here goes:

i secretley wished the Wii would fail, now dont get me wrong im a ninty fan (not fanboy) and love ninty IP`s but i feel nintendo would of been much better as a software company (obvisouly im wrong now!), but maybe its just the fact the Wii is underpowered for my hardcore needs and the constant waggle and swinging of my Wii mote is pissing me off, and i just want to tripple jump mario the old fashioned way....

still at least Brawl will be old school.
