Mark SPOnG just spent a bit of time over in Oslo looking at Funcom and Eidos's upcoming MMO,
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. In between cavorting with serving wenches and battling barbarians in the shadow of the Olympic ski jump he saw a bit of the player-versus-player siege warfare the game has to offer. Eidos just sent SPOnG a video showcasing it so we thought we'd share. Anything to stop Mark babbling about quaffing ale and pillaging stuff...
The basis of siege warfare is that guilds will be able to build cities of their very own. As was wont to happen in times past among uncivilised types, this will get attacked. By other guilds. Unless, of course, there's been a massive sea change in MMO land since Funcom started developing the feature and nobody bothers. SPOnG doubts it.
Expect more on
Age of Conan on SPOnG soon. In the meantime, you can see SPOnG's last preview
