Something big is coming for the
Guitar Hero series according to Activision. Something innovative. Something unstated and vague that might appeal to stockholders who are thinking to jumping to MTV and its
Rock Band franchise? Exciting ain't it?
Speaking in a conference call, Michael J. Griffith, president and CEO of Activision's Publishing Unit, said:
"And for the holiday, we’ll provide a significant leap forward in innovation for Guitar Hero worldwide on all platforms, including the PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, and again on the DS. We’ll provide more information detailing the specific innovation in a couple of weeks."
While SPOnG was reading that, we had this really great idea. We thought, "Hey, wouldn't it be totally freaking double awesome if they did
Guitar Hero, but with other instruments as well, so you could play with a full band of your mates?!?!"
That, or a
crazy laser harp peripheral. Using the Wii Remote. That would be totally freaking double awesome, too.
Check back on SPOnG in a couple of weeks to find out exactly what the innovation is.
Rawk'n'Rawl!!
