Japan's Nikkei reports Sony's end of year profits for the year to March 2008. Although the company as a whole as made a profit - but has missed targets - its game division has made a loss.
According to Reuters' report, "Sony's videogame division saw its operating loss shrink by about 100 billion yen (£4.8m) in the year ended March 2008, helping boost overall profitability."
The loss was based on PS3 development and launch costs - and yes, you can lose £4.8 million and turn that into a positive statement. Why? Because you do indeed have to speculate to accumulate.
