Activision of America has confirmed that it will be publishing an all-new X-Men title for the Game Boy Advance.
Fans of the series will be pleased as Activision has shown it can really work Nintendo’s new hardware, Tony Hawk Advance being a prime example of this.
The new game will be called X-Men: Reign of Apocalypse and is being developed by Digital Eclipse, the development team already confirmed as working on a PlayStation 2 game from the X-Men license.
Reign of Apocalypse will be a Final Fight-style side-scrolling fighter, similar to the Konami arcade machine of 1990. There will be a massive forty X-Men characters involved and the game will be link-enabled so that four players can play simultaneously.
There will also be a ‘versus’ mode meaning you can duke it out with your friends. The bad news is that this feature will require each player to have his or her own copy of the game.
