New Version of Call Of Duty 4 on the Way

Plus: Quake Wars confirmed for summer console release

Posted by Staff
Activision has confirmed the release of a new version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The new stock keeping unit (SKU) will go under the moniker 'Game of the Year' and is set for release in April.

The new SKU will feature the full game, along with a token that can be used for downloading the upcoming map pack, which is due out in April. In case you like to be reminded how good a game is every time you take it out of its box, Activision has also played with the packaging to display the various accolades CoD4 has attracted.

The latest Activision release schedule also confirms that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Enemy Territories: Quake Wars will be released this summer.

Activision ripping us off?

Not being funny but the map pack is apparently 800points so thats like £7 or £8 for a 'map pack' - especially having already bought the collectors edition for £50...

Then Quake wars for the PS3 and 360...A game that can be bought very cheap on the PC soon to be available on the consoles for a lovely £40-£50...
