As well as announcing the expansion of its
Lord of the Rings massively multi-player online outing with the release of
The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria expansion pack in autumn 2008, Codies has also hinted that some existing intellectual property could go MMO.
Speaking to Mark SPOnG at the company's Birmingham-based Connect event, David Solari, Head of Codemasters Online Group, responded to the question "Have you thought about bringing an existing Codemasters IP to the MMO arena?" with a taciturn, "We have... I can't talk about that right now."
He would name no names - merely nodding at SPOnG's suggestion that
Clive Barker's Jericho could make its way to the MMO arena.
So, we're racking our brains...
HEI$T - the bank robbery game which is nothing at all like
GTA is an obvious choice; we can't see
Race Driver: Grid going the same way; we love to see the re-make of
Cannon Fodder available as an MMO. But we reckon
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty looks like the most likely choice.
