Massively multi-news... and of course, we mean 'some' not all Codies games.

Existing Codemasters Games to go MMO?
As well as announcing the expansion of its Lord of the Rings massively multi-player online outing with the release of The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria expansion pack in autumn 2008, Codies has also hinted that some existing intellectual property could go MMO.

Speaking to Mark SPOnG at the company's Birmingham-based Connect event, David Solari, Head of Codemasters Online Group, responded to the question "Have you thought about bringing an existing Codemasters IP to the MMO arena?" with a taciturn, "We have... I can't talk about that right now."

He would name no names - merely nodding at SPOnG's suggestion that Clive Barker's Jericho could make its way to the MMO arena.

So, we're racking our brains... HEI$T - the bank robbery game which is nothing at all like GTA is an obvious choice; we can't see Race Driver: Grid going the same way; we love to see the re-make of Cannon Fodder available as an MMO. But we reckon Turning Point: Fall of Liberty looks like the most likely choice.

Your thoughts to the Forum as ever.

Im sorry but looking at codemasters current line up (Jericho, Turning point, Dirt and that generic street racing game thats coming out soon) arent they going to be struggling to find more than a dozen people willing to play any codemasters game online for more than a couple of months after release? Ignoring the lord of the rings game they have..Im assuming thats still has some following?

Its just sad to see how codies have gone downhill in recent years. They seem desperate to increase revenue online but they just dont to have the quality. This is something they shouldve been doing in 1998.. not 2008.
