Super! As Smash Bros Piles into Japanese Chart
Super Smash Bros. Brawl has hit the Japanese Charts, flashing the honour of having biggest opening week for a Wii game in Japan in the history of everything called 'The Wii' ever.

It manages an impressive 820,000 sales, making it by far and away the week's biggest release. The next highest new entry is Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3, racking up a quarter of Smash Bros' sales. The 360 version also fares well, given the console's low installed base in Japan. It lands at Number 7 with 40,000 sales.

Gamecube controller all the way for me, though I'll probably give the Wii remote a try. I'm a traditionalist at heart, though, and I can play Smash Bros. while drunk with the 'Cube controller.

Good times.
