Sega cuts a tenner from Dreamcast game price
Sega of Europe has announced that it will be reducing the price of all Dreamcast games by £10 from £39.99 to £29.99.

This will mean that Sega’s summer release schedule, already the best around, looks more appetising by the minute.

Sega will now sell you the following games at the fantastic price of £30.

Daytona USA 2001
Confidential Mission
18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker
Outrigger
Crazy Taxi 2
Sonic Adventure 2

“We have decided to make the Dreamcast go out with a bang,” said a Sega spokesman. “More and more people are realising that the Dreamcast is the machine of choice for gamers, catering for fans of all genres. As things stand at the moment, there is no console in the marketplace that even comes close to the Dreamcast in terms of game quality. It is a shame that the Dreamcast is only going to be supported for the next year or so.”

We agree, but surely someone will produce software for the foreseeable future? “We hope so, and to a certain extent expect this to happen. I would give the Dreamcast another five years.”

It’s all good news from Sega at the moment. The company seems in better spirits now than at any point since the MegaDrive was in its heyday.
