Ubisoft has dished up some details on the upcoming
Rainbow Six Vegas 2, complete with a couple of fresh screens and a teaser trailer to whet our terrorist-busting appetites.
First up is multi-player. There's more of it, we're told. Specifically, there are 13 new maps to creep and shoot your way through. Ubi's also promising "two new adversarial modes, more rewards, and easier access to matches using the improved and intuitive matchmaking system".
That brings us nicely on to the game's co-op mode. This time around, a second player will be able to jump into the fray at any time. In fact, the single-player maps and story were put together with just this in mind, so the whole experience ought to be smooth as a (insert reference that won't get us into trouble here).
Ubisoft also tells us it's cranked up the AI a notch, fitting the enemies of freedom out with thermal vision, night vision and shields. No doing their terroristy thing with a spork for these guys, oh no.
It wouldn't be much of a sequel if it didn't sport new weapons and gear for the player to use too, would it? Ubisoft has obliged. 11 new weapons have been thrown in, along with new camouflage, clothing and gear. You'll be able to chuck that onto a character that persists through both single and multi-player modes. With all that persistence, you'll be able to enjoy the benefits of your single player rewards in multi-player and vice versa.
