Wii's Virtual Console Takes A Walk On The Light Side

Plus! dust off your old mech suit...

Nintendo's embracing the good in the world this week, with Light Crusader getting its release on the Wii's Virtual Console.

This RPG was first seen on the SEGA Mega Drive back in the days of yore (1995) and has players running around exploring dungeons, battling monsters and solving puzzles. You know the drill... You can grab it for 800 Wii Points.

Next up is another Mega Drive title which takes us even further back - all the way to 1992. Rolling Thunder 2 charges players with becoming super-spies and joining up with the Rolling Thunder task force to (you'll never guess) save the world. Some nefarious force is out to destroy the world's satellites, so you'll need to stop them. You can even play with a friend in two player mode, if that takes your fancy. To do it, however, you'll need to shell out 800 Wii Points.

If you fancy something a bit more high tech, you could try your hand at some old school mech piloting with Cybernator. Originally released in 1993 on the SNES, the game takes you all the way forwards to 2065, where a young pilot called Jake must join the battle for Earth's waning resources. Once again, 800 Wii Points is what it'll set you back.

Virtual Console's grand total is now up to 172 titles.
