Become A Fighting King On Virtual Console

Burst some bubbles while you're at it

This week sees Nintendo's Virtual Console on the Wii get its fight on, with the Neo Geo's The King of Fighters '94 making its début.

The title, originally released back in (you guessed it) 1994, throws in the best fighters from Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury and Ikari Warriors into a brawling extravaganza. Players enter into the King of Fighters tournament, selecting internationally themed teams to pit against all comers. Fights will last up to five rounds, with players being able to unleash a 'desperation move' if things get too hairy. It's yours for 900 Wii Points.

Also in the offing this week is 1990 NES platformer, Bubble Bobble. The game stars Bub and Bob, two cutesy dinosaurs out to rescues their girlfriends from the Cave of Monsters. Along the way they'll need to navigate platforms as well as pushing and popping bubbles as they avoid enemies. The game features a two player mode as well as a password system to enable you to save progress. You can get your mitts on it for 500 Wii Points.

If you're keeping count, the game count is now up to 167 for Virtual Console.
