Undertow is this week’s Xbox Live Arcade release, available for your downloading pleasure tomorrow morning for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80) courtesy of developers, Chair Entertainment.
Undertow is described as (can you guess...) "a fast-paced action-shooter" based underwater, a popular setting for videogames in 2007, following the success of the mighty BioShock.
Undertow lets you battle up to 16 players in multiplayer mode, play 2 player co-op and features “relentless high-speed combat with simple and intuitive controls… three different playable races, each with four unique upgradeable units…. a 15-level single player campaign [with] a compelling story told through cutscenes", we're told.
To be honest, the trailer makes it look very much like a "Blimey Bioshock sold well... let's... erm... set something underwater in time for The Holidays!"... you know in the same way that someone once sat down and said, "That Star Wars is doing well, let's make Uchu kara no messeji starring Sonny Chiba and Vic Morrow... in time for The Holidays!"
