Sony has confirmed that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online will hit the PlayStation Store this Thursday 8th November... tomorrow to you.
We've even been given pricing as follows:
Tekken 5: DR Online game (all features including online modes) = £14.99
Tekken 5: DR Online component (for original Tekken 5: DR users) = £3.49
But then it all goes unnecessarily complicated...
As you can see, if you already own Tekken 5: DR - which is currently priced at £6.99 - you can upgrade for, well, £3.49 - taking your total spend to £10.48 (some £4.51 fewer pounds) . Now, bear in mind that if the original is being removed from the PlayStation Store... tomorrow.
Ergo, if you want to get £4.50-odd off the price of the full Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online, you should buy... the £6.99 Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection today before it's taken offline tomorrow in which case you'll have to pay nearly £15 for the full thing.
At least that's what we were told... frankly SPOnG would prefer to return to a more innocent time when a penny-chew cost one penny; that penny would buy you 1/100th of an item from the £1 Shop because everything in the £1 Shop actually cost £1. All this chopping and changing makes no sense at all...
In today's globalised world where things go online in Omsk five hours after they are on sale in Gdansk but two hours before they are discounted in Ohaturkey (Idaho), nothing is as simple as: "This costs £20".
