Paddy Power Bookmakers has just announced the odds for this Christmas’s number one videogame, with (yep, you guessed it) the latest Need For Speed coming in as odds-on favourite.
Need For Speed: Pro Street is closely followed by FIFA 08 at 2-1, Halo 3 at 6-1 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 at 10-1.
Also high up in the running is The Simpsons Game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Super Mario Galaxy and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
Manhunt 2 is down as 25-1. Pretty good going for a game which is increasingly looking like it won’t get a UK release till well into 2008.

its a shame that amongst that Mario Galaxy & GH:III are not going to stand a chance against an EA IP for xmas i guess its brand power, and not Actual gameplay that counts for gift buying parents :(

Well its not that, dont forget when EA release a game they release it on every damn machine out on the planet, PC, PS2, PSP, PS3 & Xbox 360.
Whereas decent and much better games like Assasins Creed and Mass Effect dont even get a mention.
I hope Mass Effect gets a bafta award and game of the year.
