SPOnG takes its hat off to SEGA and Nintendo today. In an industry that's apparently riddled with violent content poised to destroy our children, they're sending out a really positive message with the new screens for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games below.
Namely, they want us to know that fat people can win the Olympics. Yup, below we've got an image of Dr Eggman (or Robotnik, for the old school) winning a race against, among other people, Knuckles! Needless to say, SPOnG's resident beer and kebab fans (that's how we have to refer to them now) were thrilled. Other SPOnG staffers wondered if implying that round folk with tiny stick legs can win Olympic races is sending out an unrealistic, and as such potentially damaging, message. But we don't like to demoralise them...

i believe the message isnt only being sent to fat people, look at the photos, to me it looks like they are saying, Fat, Anorexic, Dwarf`s(or little people unsure of the PC term there) People with Elephantitus (or hedgogitus) Large Dragon like people, Evil reverse world Dopplegangers, Mushrooms and Princesses can all Win at the Olympics isnt that a positive message when not one normal(what is normal) shaped person is amongst the competition?
