The world's friendliest dinosaur (well, second, after Denver the Last Dinosaur) makes his way onto Virtual Console on the Wii this week in Yoshi's Story.
This N64 classic is nearly ten years (ten years!) old now, having first seen release in 1998, but SPOnG reckons it will still hold up. Yoshi and his mates return to Yoshi's Island once again and set about righting some wrongs caused by Baby Bowser. Namely, the little bugger's stolen the Super Happy Tree! It can be yours for 1,000 Wii Points.
Also up for grabs this week is Neo Geo launch title Magician Lord, first released in 1990. Players go up against the evil Gul-Agieze as the wizard Elta to stop the nasty chap from resurrecting the God of Destruction using eight tomes of mystical power. They'll be able to do some sneaking transformy type stuff, changing into a dragon, a samurai, Poseidon and a bunch of others across eight levels. It's yours for 900 Wii Points.
Last up for this week is Super Air Zonk: Rockability Paradise, originally released on the Turbografx back in 1993. Nintendo tells us, "players transform into a helicopter, laser-spitting turtle and even a sushi chef as they set out to stop King Drool’s plan to conquer the world." 'Nuff said. It'll set you back 800 of your Wii Points.
The Virtual Console grand total for this week is 157 titles.
