Oxygen has just revealed that SPOnG's all time second
† favourite dart thrower in the world ever is going to appear in
PDC World Championship Darts 2008! That's right, Phil 'The Power' Taylor, one of the greatest men ever to spend loads of time in the pub throwing pointy things at a piece of cork, has been added to the line up.
Also announced is Raymond ‘The Man’ van Barneveld who beat The Power in 2007 to claim the title of World Champion, Colin ‘Jaws’ Lloyd, the number one player in the world in 2004 and 2005, Peter ‘One Dart’ Manley, double World Champion John ‘Darth Maple’ Part from Canada and Wayne “Hawaii 501” Mardle.
Some might say that updating last year's
PDC World Championship Darts with a bunch of new professional players is a spot on the lazy side, but SPOnG loves their handles so much that we don't even care. Here's the list of the ten announced players to date:
Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor
Raymond ‘The Man’ van Barneveld
Peter ‘One Dart’ Manley
Wayne ‘Hawaii 501’ Mardle
Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley
Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis
Alan ‘The Iceman’ Warriner-Little
John ‘Darth Maple’ Part
Colin ‘Jaws’ Lloyd
Mark ‘Flash’ Dudbridge
