PlayStation Home will not be released this Autumn as Sony has previously said, having slipped out of 2007. Sony is now aiming for a Spring 2008 release.
The news comes from the Tokyo Games Show keynote speech of Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai. The reason, apparently, is not down to technical issues but rather because Sony wants to ensure the service has functionality suitable to different regions.
"We want to make sure we have a full range of services", Kaz said, noting that Sony wishes to "truly meet the needs and feedback of the users."
Sony previously announced that Home would be rolled out this Autumn back at the Game Developers Conference during
Phil Harrison's keynote.
Sony giveth and Sony taketh away, it would seem. The good news is that, as well as a delayed Home, next spring will see
rumble finally incorporated into the Sixaxis.
