Eidos has signed a deal with Danish studio Deadline to make ten new games based on Hanna-Barbera properties.
The three-year agreement will see cartoons such as
The Flintstones,
Yogi Bear,
The Jetsons and
Tom & Jerry translated into games, with the properties licensed to Eidos by Warner Bros.
Previously Deadline has worked with Eidos on
Total Overdose and its handheld spinoff,
Chili Con Carnage for the PSP.
The announcement tells us, "Games currently in production, combined with this new deal, create a need for significant expansion of the development capacity of Deadline Games A/S."
This comes hot on the heels of Take Two's announcement that it is
teaming up with Nickelodeon to release games based on two of the company's properties through its new 2K Play label.
SPOnG's vote goes to
Wacky Races and
Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines (that's
Catch the Pigeon or
Stop the Pigeon to those of us old enough to remember) for the Eidos treatment. Anything in particular you'd like to see? Answers in the Forum.
