Stranglehold Cost Midway Over $30 Million - Demo Now on Live – Woo!

John Woo... guns... erm... bang.

A playable demo of Midway’s full-on John Woo inspired shooter, Stranglehold – the ‘follow up’ to Woo’s classic movie Hard Boiled and a project rumoured to have cost the publisher around a cool $30 million (£15 million) - is now available via Xbox Live, weighing in at a phantom-weight of 1.28GB (enough time for a cup of tea and a few biscuits).

Go mental as Inspector Tequila (voiced by Woo’s acting prodigy Chow Yun Fat) as you get to shoot your way through a marketplace in Hong Kong, destroying more or less everything and anything you like on the way through. With a big gun in each hand. Awesome!

If you’re a fan of Woo or Hong Kong action cinema more generally, you really are going to lap this up. Now excuse us while we go and plug in our Ethernet cable to the 360 in the corner to grab the Stranglehold demo.
