Hellgate: London will be out just in time for Bonfire Night, Electronic Arts and Namco-Bandai have announced.
U.S. gamers will get a two day lead on Europeans, with the game hitting American retailers on Halloween. A European release will follow two days later on November 2nd.
“We wanted to hit the sweet-spot for release in terms of the development schedule and delivering the highest-quality game to our players,” said the CEO of Flagship Studios (the game's developer), Bill Roper. “Halloween was the perfect fit as it ensures that
Hellgate: London will have an appropriate amount of beta testing, while also being an incredibly fun time to unleash the game.”
OK, Bill, just remember not all gamers come from the U.S., eh? Some of us will have to wait. Still, SPOnG reckons that a game about London all aflame coming out just before Bonfire Night is just how old Guy Fawkes would have wanted it.
The release date doesn't come a moment too soon. Since
Hellgate: London was first
announced way back in April 2005, SPOnG reckons it's about time we got to see this demon puppy on our PCs. Chalk up another one for
"Murderer's Row 2".
You can get yourself up to speed on
Hellgate: London over on SPOnG's
dedicated game page, and you can see the latest trailer
