Nintendo moves against Game Boy Advance Rumours
Nintendo of Europe has moved to quell the rumours that it will not be prepared for the European launch of the Game Boy Advance this June.

“Although we underestimated the initial demand for the Japanese launch, we are confident that there will be enough units for Europe,” said a Nintendo spokesman. “We have projected that we will move just under one million consoles in the first month the Game Boy Advance goes on sale and should sell an estimated three million units by Christmas. The level of anticipation the Game Boy Advance has received has amazed everyone in the industry, not least us. It would seem that the world has been waiting for a viable new handheld gaming system.

“The reports that there will not be enough machines to cope with demand is mere speculation. It must be because we have never supplied anyone with our manufacturing figures or our storage figures for the console. We have calculated the demand for Game Boy Advance through a strategic in depth market analysis and believe that we will easily meet the level of demand at launch and throughout the year.”

Do you feel reassured? From what we have been told, Nintendo appears confident that it will have everything under control. It would still be worth while placing a pre-order though.
