SPOnG’s first thoughts upon hearing about Nintendo’s
code-named Revolution console (Wii) way back in early 2005 were that we would finally get the
Star Wars game we had always dreamed of: one featuring fully playable lightsabers.
Well, Traveller’s Tales is (almost) about to make the dream a reality, with the new
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga set to make use of the Wii Remote as the LEGO lightsaber.
You can still choose to use the trigger on the Wii Remote to swing your lightsaber in
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, but why would you?
Apparently, swinging the lightsaber with the Wii Remote is also slightly faster and the effects you generate are more powerful.
Take that, LEGO Darths!
Your character can also build stuff faster with LEGO bricks by moving the Wii Remote up and down rapidly, you can also use the motion-sensing control to use your Force powers, throw grappling hooks and more.
We hope to find out what that ‘more’ is in
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga at E3 in the coming week.
