Neanderthal Mob Hits Future Brooklyn

In new CryENGINE 2-powered FPS

Paleo Entertainment has announced that it has started work on an FPS called Merchants of Brooklyn, with a 'future-Neanderthal' theme set in Brooklyn, in the year 3100.

The most interesting aspect of this news is that Paleo is making use of Crytek's CryENGINE 2 technology to power this intriguing looking futuristic mafia game (see first Merchants of Brooklyn concept art, pictured here).

Troy Latimer, president of Paleo Entertainment, has said that CryENGINE 2 was the only engine that "could produce the kind of AAA quality game we were aiming to develop".

Paleo promises "engaging, fast-paced, futuristic Mafia action mixed with Neanderthal versus Cro-Magnon clones".

Faruk Yerli, managing director at Crytek, has said of Merchants of Brooklyn's unique art style that Paleo "showed us that they had the talent and vision to create something truly original which would stand out on its own merits, and also utilise many of the features of our engine in fresh and innovative ways."
