As SPOnG told you last week, Midway's Mortal Kombat series is heading to the DS with the inspired name of... Ultimate Mortal Kombat! Not wanting to lose its gore-fuelled momentum, Midway has released this tantalising trailer to get the blood pumping (out of the new holes at the tops of our necks!)

"Ultimate Mortal Kombat combines the visceral thrills of the classic Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and the addictive puzzle action of the Puzzle Kombat component of Midway’s best-selling Mortal Kombat: Deception in a single DS-friendly package. With new record-keeping capability, and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection multiplayer, players will be able take UMK anywhere for fighting action on the go."

Not pushing the DS at all this one, but I'd indulge for a bit of mobile carnage. I still have the brill SF Alpha 3 on GBA which always delights..
I admire Midway for putting this on DS, as I'd rather see a decent game port, than a crud one, that tries to impliment touch controls poorly. So long as everyone and their mum, don't exploit this option too much.,
Capcom, sort DS out with 3rd Strike, please.
