Midway is bringing
Ultimate Mortal Kombat to the Nintendo DS this November, along with a number of other new DS. The company joins the leagues of third party publishers upping their support for Nintendo.
SPOnG informed you
yesterday of the new Wii titles scheduled for a Christmas 2007 release, the resurrection of the popular
Cruis’n franchise and the appallingly-named
Game Party.
Also scheduled to hit the shelves later this year are
The Bee Game (DS, GBA), which features, err, some bees, and
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Imagination Invades (DS) based on a Cartoon Network show. Which also sounds a bit sinister.
"The Wii and Nintendo DS require games that are innovative and take full advantage of a unique control scheme to offer a truly different type of gameplay experience," said Matt Booty, Midway Worldwide Studios' executive vice president.
"We are very excited to be bringing classic Midway franchises such as
Mortal Kombat and
Cruis'n along with powerful licensed content like
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends to the massive installed base of Nintendo system owners."
