Ever since we first cast our tackle in
Zelda: Twilight Princess, SPOnG's been itching to get hooked on a proper fishing game for the Wii. When we caught sight this first picture of the Core Gamer peripheral for
Hooked! Real Motion Fishing from Aksys Games, we got a bit excited.
Until, that was, SPOnG's resident fisherman took a look. "First," he said, "that reel had best be able to switch to the other side, or your lefties are buggered."
"Personally," he went on, "I prefer an Ugly Stik. You'd never use
that for off beach. Never..." he muttered, with a knowing shake of his head. "You couldn't hook a bass with that either, and a pelagic 'd probably cause you trouble."
Squinting, and tilting his head to one side in a look of deep consideration, he added, "It'd probably be alright for a mackerel. It could probably do 13lbs. Not that I know much about fishing."
While UK details have not be confirmed yet, the game will ship on September 3rd in the US, according to EBgames, and will cost $59.99 (about £30), $10 (£5) more than an average Wii game.
If you wish to correct SPOnG's resident fisherman on any of his comments, please do so in the Forum.
