Now, while we would have expected a Zelda or maybe a Kong-flavoured centurion for the Wii's virtual console this week, we're not that unhappy with the fact that F-Zero X has claimed the glamorous position of 100th release.
The N64 drivery outing, which made its UK debut on the N64 in 1998, will set you back 1,000 Wii points. It does come with 30 different hover machines, 20+ tracks, and encourages the kind of aggressive driving that is discouraged in today's Nanny State - you get to bash other vehicles in your lust for victory.
Of course, if you decide to download the TurboGrafx re-run that is J.J. & Jeff, ("two bungling detectives, as they run, jump, kick or spray their way through six different levels to solve a kidnapping case") then that will be the 100th Wii game. It'll cost you 600 Wii Points!
Do you have all 100 Wii Virtual Console games (from VC or in original form?) rate them out of 10 and tell us in the Forum below.
