Capcom’s popular role-playing series Breath Of Fire is making an advanced transition to Nintendo’s highly anticipated new handheld. There are several genres that are perfectly suited to portable gaming: puzzle games, platformers and RPG’s. Breath of Fire will play like a book where you control the pace and action of the plot.
Breath Of Fire Advance will use the Union and Transformation systems from Breath of Fire 4. There will also be a wide variety of sub-games that enhance the gameplay and have a direct impact on the story. Known sub-games currently include fishing and hunting. You will also be able to exchange items in the game with a friend using the Advance’s link cable. Finally, you will be able to save your game at any point instead of having to find save locations, which is perfect for quick plays.
Breath of Fire is scheduled for a July release in Japan and a European launch in the Autumn. It will be one portable RPG title to keep an eye open for.
