That Naruto kid's getting all over the place, these days. This time he's found his way on to the DS over in the U.S. thanks to Tomy Corporation and D3Publisher of America. For the first time in Western parts we'll be getting an RPG rather than a beat 'em up starring the jump-suited Ninja.
The game will be going by the name of
Naruto: Path of the Ninja. D3 tells us the title features “a unique time based combat system in which players must determine each characters strengths and use them accurately to help them defeat the enemy.” Other than that, not a lot's been said in terms of gameplay.
Naruto, for those not familiar with him, hails from the manga and anime created by Masashi Kishimoto. He's just your standard teenage Ninja with a nine-tailed demon fox dwelling within him. And, for some reason, he dresses like a U.S. prison inmate.
It was only last week that we dished up some
new screens from
Naruto: Rise of a Ninja on the 360. Then, not a day later,
Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles hit shelves. SPOnG thinks this kid needs a time out.
Naruto's making his DS appearance in Autumn in the US. Keep your eye on SPOnG's
dedicated Path of the Ninja page for all the latest news and assets.
