Latest Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Screens

We’re so excited. We just can’t hide it.

Today we are berating ourselves and our stupid parents for our general laziness in not learning Japanese as children, for if we had, then we would be able to enjoy the latest Zelda when it releases on DS in Japan in June.

Here’s the latest batch of Japanese version of The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass - surely set to be the DS game of the year - to remind you what it’s looking like so you can go and dig out that copy of Japanese For Dishonourable Dummies again.

As you can see, the game promises to be everything we want from classic Zelda gameplay featuring dungeons, swashbuckling swordplay, and Link sailing a-top the high seas. And more.

If you liked Wind Waker, which this game is clearly closest to visually, then you are surely in for a proper treat when The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass finally reaches our shores.

Let’s just hope it’s sometime this year rather than next.

Their is not way that Nintendo will let Phantom Hour Glass only be on sale in Japan for long as Japan is the treaty where Zelda dose the wears. But that said the Yanks will probably get it this summer and we will have to what till Christmas or some time latter. :(

If we get it by xmas that's fine, I have enough other games to buy anyways. All I can say is praise the lord for import games. I'm sorry, but we wait to long to get these games, while waiting for games to be translated into five or so languages.

Learn to speak/read english, europe.

Do we know when in June it hits Japan?

I can't find a solid Japanese release date anywhere.
Although Amazon expects it over here November...(their website did say June too before, but has changed now).

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess was said to be the last traditinal Zelda but this still needs to come out. Now after this one comes we can only wonder what Moyamoto ment by the "last tradition Zelda"

It looks like Wind Waker crossed with Link to the Past crossed with the Minish Cap crossed with early Final Fantasy games (Mystic Quest Legend textures, anyone?).

Hopefully they will manage some innovation in there ;).

BTW SPOnG: You're missing Mystic Quest Legend (Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest - US) from your game database, but I can't find a way to submit info.
