Great news for SEGA fans today, as we just heard that Richard Jacques been commissioned to score the music throughout the single-player campaign of Bizarre Creation’s forthcoming arcade shooter,
The Club.
Formerly in-house musician at SEGA, with credits on classics such as
Metropolis Street Racer and
Jet Set Radio, Richard is an all-round Renaissance Man, being the first video game music composer to front a live symphony orchestra, not to mention the first to have his game music featured in art galleries and live concerts in Europe, Japan and North America, and the first western composer to have his game soundtracks released commercially in Japan.
Jacques said, "Having previously worked on the music and sound design of Metropolis Street Racer, I was extremely pleased to be chosen to provide tracks for
The Club. Sega and Bizarre Creations have a sure fire hit on their hands and it's great to be a part of it."
Chris Chudley will be scoring the multiplayer aspect of
The Club, with some impressive music credits to date including
Project Gotham Racing 2 and
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.
